INVESTIGATION INTO CLADDING WALL PANEL FAILURE

Cracking of precast concrete cladding on a high-rise building has initiated a thorough investigation regarding the causes of cracking and safety of the precast panels. NOEL conducted a sensitivity analysis using LS-DYNA to investigate the effect of detailing of internal steel reinforcement on the cracking strength of the panels. NOEL is also engaged in providing expert advice to the main structural consultants on causes of cracking and the structural analysis development.
